Mount Stuart Primary is a community school that offers a rich and diverse curriculum to approximately 350 students across 16 classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
We overlook the Derwent River and are a vibrant learning organisation whose values of Respect, Growth, Aspiration and Courage develop confident, independent learners with a strong sense of personal wellbeing.
We have a well-attended School Association which is a welcoming space for new members. Mount Stuart Primary School offers a wide range of learning opportunities for students Kinder to Grade 6.
These include Japanese, Music, Band, Choir, Library, Gifted online programme and PE.
Our Early Childhood programme has a strong focus on the acquisition of phonics to support literacy development and teachers plan high quality opportunities for inquiry learning.
Classes K-6 have access to Loose Parts equipment and engage in regular Outdoor Classroom opportunities in local reserves.
Opportunities for student leadership are provided through the following:

- Harmony Helpers.
We celebrate learning and recognise achievement through regular whole school assemblies. Mount Stuart Primary staff are dedicated and focused on achieving the best outcomes for each and every child.
